Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan unveiled the “Pledge and Commitment” campaign at a significant event held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. This gathering drew over 4,800 attendees, including citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, and business leaders, all united in recognizing the President’s efforts in national development.
Central to the initiative are four guiding principles: fostering unity and coexistence, drawing lessons from leadership values, bolstering civic responsibility and national identity, and expressing gratitude for the UAE’s prosperity and stability. Additionally, the campaign has been extended to digital platforms via a dedicated website and QR code, enabling broad participation across the country. To further its reach, organizers are collaborating with companies, universities, and community organizations, while also engaging in multilingual online and public events.
This initiative comes in the wake of a period marked by regional security tensions earlier this year, which saw a surge in national solidarity. Throughout the UAE, public displays of patriotism have become more prevalent, with flags adorning homes, offices, and public buildings. This response follows calls from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to commemorate the nation’s resilience and unity.
By signing the pledge, participants express their support and loyalty to President Sheikh Mohamed, lauding him as a guardian of national security, a promoter of progress, and a beacon of dedication and service. Those who participate online receive a digital certificate of appreciation, which they can download and share, further amplifying the campaign’s impact.
