UAE Economic Boost as Leaders Partake in Eid Al Adha Celebrations

On Wednesday morning, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan led Eid Al Adha prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by senior leaders, officials, and a large congregation of worshippers. The prayers signaled the start of the religious festival, which is observed by Muslims worldwide. Following the prayers, Sheikh Mohamed exchanged holiday greetings with those present, marking the joyous occasion.

In his sermon, Dr. Omar Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, underscored the vital role of honesty in fostering trust, national unity, and social stability. He commended the UAE’s leadership for its dedication to strengthening the nation through unity and a focus on national interests. The sermon resonated with the gathering, emphasizing values that align closely with the spirit of Eid.

Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by prominent figures such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed. Together with the worshippers, they recited Al Fatiha to honor the memory of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reflecting on his legacy and contributions to the nation’s development.

Across the UAE, rulers and senior leaders joined citizens and residents for Eid prayers at various major mosques. In Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed attended prayers at Zabeel Grand Mosque, while in Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi participated in the service at Sharjah Mosque. Meanwhile, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi observed the prayers at Al Zaher Palace Mosque in Ajman, and Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi performed his prayers at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah.

In Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla attended Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque, and in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi joined worshippers at the Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Mosque. The commencement of Eid Al Adha was marked by thousands of worshippers coming together across the country, highlighting the unity and shared cultural heritage of the UAE’s diverse population.
