As Dubai embarks on a transformative infrastructure journey, significant traffic diversions have been implemented around the Al Safah and City Walk areas. These adjustments are part of a comprehensive road development plan designed to enhance connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion in the bustling city.
The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has introduced these diversions on Al Satwa Street and Al Multaqa Street. This initiative aims to maintain smooth traffic flow and improve access as construction progresses around the City Walk area. This development is a segment of the broader Al Safa Street project, which seeks to revolutionize road connectivity in the region.
In addition to the Al Safa project, Dubai is undertaking a substantial Dh2 billion infrastructure endeavor to strengthen its network of key roads. The Latifa bint Hamdan corridor project, covering a distance of 12 kilometers, is set to link major routes, including Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, Al Meydan Street, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, and Emirates Road.
Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, this extensive project will feature seven bridges spanning 2.3 kilometers and eight tunnels covering 900 meters. Once complete, the upgraded corridor is expected to accommodate more than 16,000 vehicles per hour traveling in both directions, significantly easing traffic burdens across the emirate.
